The bad news:
-Maruchan tomato ramen have been discontinued in 2003.
-Nissin Food discontinued the flavor too, 4-5 years ago.
-No noodle company seems to make the flavor anymore.
Is there anything close to tomato flavored ramen?
Brazil:
-
Italian Tomato
Canada and United-States:
- Spicy Tomato
-
Shrimps with tomato and garlic (Cup noodles)
Germany:
-
Tomato (Not the same flavor as we used to know)
Japan:
-
Chily Tomato
Bad news again?
All these flavors are ok, but taste nowhere as good as the original.
We will keep an eye open!
The Ramenlicious team will keep and eye open for the original tomato ramen. To find the old packages somewhere would probably not be a good idea since years have passed and noodles don't last forever, but if we ever hear about any company making something close to the flavor we liked so much, be sure that we will tell you (And news like this would be featured on main page!).

Story submitted by:
Jennifer Wilson (Pittsburgh, United-States):
"I have been eating tomato ramen noodles for years.
I used to buy them at Costco, in 20-30 unit packages. But one day, they started to have more chicken and beef ramen and a lot less tomato flavor on their shelves. That raised some suspicion and that day i bought for 100$ of tomato flavored ramen! (hihi, yeah, i really liked them). And i guess i was right. The next month at costco, there were no more tomato flavored packages left. I still had plenty at home, but i got a little scared, so i went to look at local supermarket. There were none!
It has now been four years that
every time i go to the supermarket, i take a look in the noodles section.. hoping that they will be back. :)"
