  Tonkotsu Ramen

               With pork bones broth
The Tonkotsu ramen soup takes it's name from "pork bones", as it's the principal ingredient that is used to make the soup broth. It has a thick white broth and it's made by boiling the pork bones for many hours. Often, chicken or vegetable stock is used in combination with the pork bones.

The broth is made with high heat over many hours and it gives it a creamy look that could remind us of milk or gravy. It is very popular in ramen restaurants and many of them add more ingredients to the soup broth, like soy sauce and the chicken/vegetable stock like we said before. The cloudy white look of this soup dish makes it very easy to differentiate from the other tree most popular types. You can find more information on ramen in other parts of the encyclopedia.

A picture of the tonkotsu soup should be available soon. You can also visit the ramen soup section for more of your favorite dishes. There is also, in the japanese ramen section, a complete guide to making your own soup broth that will add a lost of taste to your noodle dishes. Pork bones have many different uses in Asia and can help make many dishes like dumplings or simply the soup broth for a meal.
