Yokohama ramen
A broth similar to Tonkotsu |
| Yokohama is the capital of the Kanagawa Japanese Prefecture, but also the city with the 2nd largest population of the country. The city is south of Tokyo and is a very important place in Japan. |
| The Yokohama Ramen dish is made with thick/straigh noodles served in a broth that is similar to tonkotsu ramen, made with pork and soy sauce. There are many popular toppings, like spinachs, nori, onion, eggs, but the most popular one is roasted pork, also known as char siu. As in many regions of Japan, the recipe has small variations from places to places and can be customized by the restaurants or on the customer order. For more japanese recipes make sure to take a look at the Japanese ramen section, it features recipes and different ways to make the soup broth. |
